A rare and well-preserved example of 19TH CENTURY from Guangxu Six-character Mark and of the Period (1875-1908), noted for its craftsmanship, material quality, and historical relevance.

A superb and rare pair of Imperial porcelain dishes, 14.6cm in diameter. The interior is decorated with a vibrant Alum-Red (Iron-Red) ground, overlaid with concentric circles of varied "Shou" (Longevity) characters. The central, large gilt shou medallion is exceptionally well-preserved, exhibiting the high-quality gilding typical of the Imperial kilns.\n\nDesign: The "Hundred Shou" motif was a signature Imperial birthday design, representing a wish for "Ten Thousand Years" of life for the Emperor.\n\nThe Border: A vivid Underglaze Blue "Ruyi" scroll border encircles the rim.\n\nThe Exterior: Features three floral sprays in iron-red enamel.\n\nThe Mark: The base of each dish bears the six-character Imperial Guangxu reign mark (Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi) executed in Iron-Red enamel.\n\nDimensions Diameter: 14.6 cm\n\nCondition Report Overall: Good Condition; exceptionally fresh condition Surface: The Alum-Red ground is deep and uniform. The Gilding remains bright and intact with no significant wear. Body: No chips, or professional restorations.
