REPUBLIC PERIOD JADEITE "DOUBLE DRAGON" PENDANT
A rare and well-preserved example of 1930 from Circa 1925-1936, noted for its craftsmanship, material quality, and historical relevance.
A single-sided, openwork carving featuring two dragons facing a central pearl. The reverse side is smooth and flat.\nMaterial: Natural ''Oily Green'' Jadeite. Dense and cold to the touch.\nBilateral Drilling: Close-ups of the suspension hole show it was hand-drilled from both sides (meeting in the middle), a hallmark of traditional manual tools.\nHand-Polished: Features a soft, waxy luster rather than the ''glassy'' finish of modern machine-made pieces.\nMarket Context: This ''flat-back'' style was highly popular for export jewellery during the early 20th century.
